Anybody who’s anybody knows what Funko Pop! figures are. They debuted in 2010 and have since launched to the forefront of video game, movie, and TV collectibles. Some of these figures are even worth upwards of $100,000. In the latest stunt for the collectible brand, the figures are jumping out of the box and hitting the street in a game called Funko Fusion. While not much is known about the game in its current state, there is plenty of speculation and a lot of franchises that are making an appearance.
The announcement came from 10:10 Games on Twitter earlier today along with the official announcement trailer for Funko Fusion. Throughout the trailer, tons of franchises make an appearance such as the Umbrella Academy, Jurassic World, Shaun of the Dead, and He-Man. Funko Fusion will be a “cooperative action-adventure mashup featuring characters and settings from a wide variety of iconic films and television shows.” Clips of the game appear similar to Lego games and showed off puzzles, sword-based combat, and blasters.
The release date for the game is still completely unknown except the window of 2024. For now, there will be tons of speculation and the team behind the game will most likely release more information in the coming weeks and months to come to reflect more on what the game will play like. Those who are fans of the legendary collectibles will surely be excited about the release of this game. They may even want to collect a few copies just in case. Maybe 10:10 Games will go so far as to include some special collectible editions that come with figures. You can get more information about the game from the Funko Fusion official website.
