Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 season 1 is right around the corner kicking off on November 14 at 12 PM ET and with it comes a wave of new content and updates to the game. For the multiplayer side of things we can expect a new map to be added to the fold in Warhead which is perfect for the 6v6 Face Off or 2v2 Gun Fight game modes.
Warzone will also get some cool additions like Area 99. This will be a resurgence map within the Nevada desert and oddly enough it’s right around the corner from Nuketown. The map isn’t the only thing changing with this update seeing how new gameplay mechanics will also be added. Look for things like wildcards, Omnimovement and tactical sprint to be added here as well.
We can expect three new maps will be added to the game in Hideout, Extraction, and Heirloom. As of right now we only have small overview clips of said maps but each map is crafted with specific game modes in mind. Extraction is the first map up that is located on the beach side. This helicopter hanger is located at the center of the map and is ideal for traditional 6v6 game modes.
The second map is Heirloom which looks like a museum. So with that comes a lot of rooms to battle out in. But what makes Heirloom stand out from the rest is it will be the only map implemented in 2v2 faceoff playlists.
The final map in this trio is Hideout. This map feels more compact when compared to a map like Extraction. Hideout also has a ton of vehicles and boxes littered around it that will provide excellent cover when you’re in a firefight. And it’s worth noting here that Extraction and Hideout will be areas within the upcoming Warzone map titled Avalon.
Black Ops 6 Season 1 will also look to add a ton of new yet unannounced modes and maps within the multiplayer and zombies game mode. It is worth noting here the zombies mode will get an extra map later down the line this season within the season 1 reloaded update.
