A new Diablo game means the hunt for a cow level is on. Despite this treasure not being found yet, the community is dedicated to finding their bovine haven. Players are tirelessly scavenging Diablo IV for clues and hints to find this Easter egg location.
A community of players is dedicated to finding a cow level in Diablo IV for a few reasons. For starters, if found, it would be a great source of grinding experience and gear. Also, this level has become the type of legend in this series that disappoints people when it isn’t there. Diablo III, for example, started with no cow level available before adding it later.
People who have datamined Diablo IV have not found any hints to a cow level, but they also note it could be under a codename, or Blizzard is saving it for later. The existence of Wirt’s Leg and Tome of Town Portal has some people convinced they could make the cow level portal appear.

So far, the search in Diablo IV has had people going on quests to locate cows. The above Reddit thread includes at least one person dedicating their time to finding all cow spawns worldwide. Some are also trying to determine if a fountain in Ked Bardu is the ticket. There are four oxen statues situated around this location that has people intrigued. There is text about washing items in the fountain to get blessed by the oxen and other writing that mentions spilling their blood to be deemed worthy.
The secret cow level debuted in Diablo II, and since then, it has routinely been searched for and requested in later games. It features hordes of cow enemies standing upright as they attack you. It’s funny and has a very different tone from the rest of the game. Hopefully, the community will be able to find the prize they are looking for.
