Information about the upcoming Disney Dreamlight Valley update has been scarce since the release of the Rift in Time DLC and the introduction of Jack Skellington. The silence has officially been broken as we learn that Disney Dreamlight Valley is getting a name-change feature in the upcoming update. This will be the ninth update that the game has received since it was released in September of 2022.
Despite the game being over a year old and finally out of early access, there are still many features that fans have been asking for. For instance, fans have been wanting additional languages, more organization options for chests, and even keyboard and mouse compatibility for consoles. The list of features players are asking for is long but the Disney Dreamlight Valley devs have been slowly chipping away at them. The name-change feature will be nice and is yet another cosmetic change players will be able to make.
This small bit of information was shared on the official Disney Dreamlight Valley X page and it starts the wave of information we will get leading up to the release of update 9. Of course, when this update will be released is yet to be determined. We can only speculate that the next update will be happening soon since Gameloft stated that the update would come in late winter.
We also know that the next update will include additional characters as it was shown that we will be getting Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc. We also know that there will be an additional realm added with this character — something that many fans are excited about. Outside of this info, there isn’t much known about the upcoming update. Considering it is February, we imagine that the next update will be arriving around the end of the month or will be available within the first two weeks of March. After all, there is still a spring update that is right around the corner.
