The Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero character roster has finally been fully revealed. Just weeks before the game’s launch, Bandai Namco released the below trailer, showing the last stragglers to be revealed. This batch starts with a few leftover characters from the recent-ish Dragon Ball Super run but heavily dives into the Dragon Ball Z movies that don’t get talked about much these days.

Here is the list of characters announced in the pre-launch trailer:

  • Android 13
  • Android 13 Fusion
  • Bojack
  • Full-Power Bojack
  • Broly (Z)
  • Broly (Z, Super Saiyan)
  • Broly (Z, Legendary Super Saiyan)
  • Cabba
  • Cabba (Super Saiyan)
  • Cabba (Super Saiyan 2)
  • Cooler
  • Cooler (Final Form)
  • Metal Cooler
  • Dr. Wheelo
  • Janemba
  • Super Janemba
  • Lord Slug
  • Lord Slug (Giant Form)
  • Frieza Force Soldier
  • Frost
  • Goku (Teen)
  • Hirudegarn
  • Super Garlic Jr.
  • Super Gogeta (Z)
  • Tapion
  • Toppo (God of Destruction)
  • Turles

There are definitely some surprising names we didn’t expect to see in the game. Sure, Cabba and Frost make sense, and the original version of Broly is the most popular of the original DBZ movies, but seeing mentions of Super Garlic Jr., Bojack, and Lord Slug is highly unexpected in 2024. This makes the Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero character roster feel about as close to the “Everyone’s Here!” moment we got with Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as anything else.

With the final announcements above, the full Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero character roster sits at 181 launch characters (plus an additional Goku from the upcoming Dragon Ball Daima if you get the Ultimate Edition). We already know that the season pass will also bring more than 20 more characters down the line from the Dragon Ball Daima series and Super Hero movie. Needless to say, this game is really pulling as many characters as they possibly can from each corner of the Dragon Ball timeline to be present. If you are a long-time fan of the series, this is definitely looking like something you don’t want to miss.
