A Dragon’s Dogma 2 Cyclops had the tables turned when they came face-to-face with a player using the thief vocation. While the Cyclops had a smart idea, taking out a bridge to prevent the adventurers from crossing, little did it know what would happen next… It would become the bridge it destroyed. In case you didn’t know about this nifty trick, you can use a Cyclops in Dragon’s Dogma 2 as a bridge. Doing so will even get you an achievement called Cyclops Abridged which requires you to cross a cyclopean bridge. Of course, this feat is a bit easier said than done.
Reddit user DeathBySnuSnu999 posted about their achievement on the official Dragon’s Dogma 2 Reddit page. Although it seems that they already had the achievement, it is still an amusing means of turning the tables on the Cyclops.
The clip opens with them running down the Vermundian path only to come across a Cyclops. With a stroke of intelligence, the Cyclops knocked out the bridge that the Reddit user would be using. This was not enough to stop them as the user quickly threw out their grappling hook, causing the Cyclops to fall into the gap. This created a nice bridge for the adventuring party to cross. To add insult to injury, one of the pawns decided to create an explosion on the Cyclops’ hands. Before the clip ends, you can just make out the Cyclops plummeting to its death.
There aren’t many chances to get the Cyclops Abridged achievement in Dragon’s Dogma 2 but it is nice to see someone get it in a relatively easy and efficient manner. It took us a while to get the achievement because the Cyclops’ never wanted to fall right. Maybe we had some bad luck or perhaps we just aren’t very good at the game. Maybe our next achievement will go as smoothly as this.
