British fans of the fantasy TTRPG Dungeons & Dragons can rejoice as special 50th anniversary stamps are coming to the Royal Mail. They have been beautifully designed by British artist Wayne Reynolds. He’s work has also been seen in D&D games, handbooks, and guides across the last two decades. The 14 stamps are currently available for preorder from the Royal Mail.
The stamps will feature: a red dragon, an owlbear, Vecna, gelatinous cube, a mind flayer, a mimic, a displacer beast, and the infamous beholder. There are also adventuring party stamps that showcase a tiefling rogue, a human bard, a halfling cleric, an elf fighter, a dwarf paladin, and a dragonborn wizard.

“Building on Hasbro’s existing work with Royal Mail, we’re honoured to release this beautiful collection of stamps, officially approved by HM King Charles III, in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the World’s Greatest Roleplaying Game.” – Dan Rawson, Global Play Lead, Dungeons & Dragons
“Being asked to design the Dungeons & Dragons stamps for Royal Mail was a massive honour for me. As a British artist it was a wonderful opportunity to be able to contribute artwork that I’d created as a long-running D&D fantasy artist to something I consider to be an iconic institution. I get the opportunity to see my artwork on stamp!” – artist Wayne Reynolds
The stamps also feature a special surprise. When held under ultraviolet light, the stamps show another image. It might be the D&D ampersand logo, or an image associated with the featured monster. Such as a skull for the evil lich Vecna.
Preorders for the stamps began today. They will officially be on sale July 25th, 2024. A pack of all 14 stamps is priced at £24.40. They can be preordered through the Royal Mail’s website, or via telephone at 03457 641 641.
