Elden Ring Nightreign took the Souls community by storm over the weekend, which resulted in a large player count, and From Software is celebrating. Along with that, From Software has confirmed some major changes coming to the game. We have certainly been feeling the effects of playing Nightreign into the early morning, and it appears as though many others have as well. Let’s get into the announcement.
Major changes coming to Elden Ring Nightreign
In a post on the Elden Ring X page, the team celebrated 3.5 million copies of the game being sold. Despite that large number, it only scratches the surface of the number its predecessor sold at 30 million. Still, it is an impressive achievement that not every game manages to accomplish, so good job From Software, on another successful game release.
Along with this, the team announced that there will be a few changes coming to the game over the summer. The post reads, “In addition to the DLC releasing later this year, new additions will be gradually implemented, including enhanced fights against existing Nightlords starting this month, as well as Duo Expeditions at a later date. Thank you for your support.”

Duo expeditions are something the community has been asking about since it was revealed the game would have to be played solo or in a group of three, so it is nice to see that we will be getting the change at some point. Along with this, enhanced Nightlord fights sound like they will be making things a lot more difficult for the player base who want to take on the challenge. We all know that Souls fans love a good boss fight so these feel promising.
More characters as well as other additions, have already been confirmed for the game, so we will just need to sit back and see what From Software is cooking up.
