The Cohors Cthulhu: Tactics Adventure Wargame is a TTRG from the makers of Fallout: Wasteland Warfare and The Elder Scrolls: Call to Arms. This new cosmic horror game is set during the height of the Roman Empire and promises both solo and co-op play.
Players begin the story as one of only a handful of ambush survivors attempting to escape the Mythos-ridden mists inside a forest. The game is set up with a Prologue followed by three Acts. Across the Acts, players get to bring their characters from desperate soldiers to seasoned leaders ready to take on the malevolent Outer God Mendaxius. Across the Acts players can unlock side quests, open up new storylines, make allies, encounter fierce creatures, and much more.
Summon heroes from across the Roman Empire to fight alone or with allies against the eldritch forces of the outer gods. Carve your way through the mist-shrouded Germanic forests, encountering strange ruins, and monstrous enemies at every turn. The TTRPG from Modiphius Entertainment is currently on Kickstarter. It has reached $51,000 of its $63,753 goal and still has 31 days to go. A backing of $16 gets you the PDF version of the game delivered January 2025. A backing of $77 gets you the physical hardcover copy of the book delivered on March 2025. There are various other levels of rewards for backers and adds-on’s including miniatures and in-game accessories.
