Fans want more sky islands and story in Tears of the Kingdom DLC

As we approach the first month with Tears of the Kingdom being out, people are starting to wonder about DLC. There are still plenty of things for you to do in the main game, but everyone wants to know what comes next. With many finishing the main story, people are beginning to express what they want in Tears of the Kingdom DLC.

Of all the discussions on what could be added to Tears of the Kingdom in DLC, what we saw brought up the most is the potential for more sky islands. Nintendo put a lot of effort towards showing how the sky was a massive expansion on Hyrule. Now that we’ve played through it, it feels a little underutilized for what it was marketed as.

That’s not to say that we dislike the sky islands in Tears of the Kingdom, just that there is room for expansion. The Surface and Depths are filled with things to see, but there is a lot of “dead air” in the Sky map. If we were to get a story DLC, more islands could definitely appear with temples and shrines to go through.

It is also requested that Nintendo expand the story. The Light Dragon is focused on through the Dragon’s Tears quest, but what about the others? We want to know the identities of the other three dragons, Dinraal, Farosh, and Naydra. We wouldn’t mind figuring out what happened to all the Sheikah structures and Divine Beasts as well.

Whatever Tears of the Kingdom brings in DLC, we are excited to jump back in. We’re not done playing yet, as is the case for many others, but if we get a hint at what’s to come during a summer Nintendo Direct, we don’t expect to be disappointed.
