Because gamers can’t ever be surprised at a game’s launch, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth spoilers are making the rounds on social media. As is the case with any big release, we highly recommend putting mute filters on all keywords that are relevant to the series. To this point, we have seen them pop up on X, Reddit, and TikTok, so be careful when scrolling in those areas if you want to avoid spoilers. We will not post or link to any Final Fantasy 7 spoilers before launch here.
Of course, with Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth’s public release still two weeks away, that is a lot of time for you to be wary of online strangers looking to ruin your fun. At the moment, various people in media have received codes to play through the game for review, but with a game as anticipated as this, there are going to be some that can’t keep their mouths shut until embargo.
Leaking anything to do with a game before it releases is a hot topic issue these days. It seems to be happening more and more with various high-profile games like last year’s The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. If a game has any excitement, you can expect people to try and exploit that. With more people excited about Rebirth coming off of Remake and Intergrade, there’s even more chance for people to try to release something first to get some clicks.
While you are avoiding social media to experience Rebirth’s story yourself, we recommend looking over stuff from the recently released demo, like all of the people showing off their piano skills. When everyone has access to the game, those kinds of posts make more sense, but two weeks before the launch for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth spoilers is a bit much.
