A new TTRPG is arriving September 2024. Final Fantasy XIV is making its way to your gaming table. There was previously a first round of pre-orders available on the Square Enix website. But due to popular demand, the Starter Set is being reprinted and is currently available for a second wave of pre-orders.
The Starter Set is very comprehensive for everything you need at the table. It comes with a Player Book to learn the rules of the game and a Gamemaster Book with three ready-to-go adventures that tie directly into Final Fantasy XlV’s central storyline. If you are not ready to build your own character, it comes with four pre-made characters that include a Warrior, a White Mage, a Dragoon, and a Black Mage. It includes 16 dice with six d20’s and ten d6’s. There is a handy rules summary and a strategy guide for quick reference while you learn to play. There’s also an encounter map, character tokens, and ability markers to support your gaming experience.
Between 3-5 players can play this TTRPG, though the game officially recommends five players. It is for ages 14 and up, which is typical for these roleplaying games due to complexity of the rules and subject matter that can come up at the table.
For fans of Final Fantasy XIV, this game offers a unique experience in living within the land of Eorzea and getting to impact it and explore it with complete freedom.
