Google is gaga over Chocobos! Our fine-feathered friends have lept from the world of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth and invaded the popular search engine as you can now see them swarm your search pages. All you need to do is press a special new button and this popular mount will rush across your screen. Not just the yellow variant of this critter can be seen; all the different variants join in as well!

The world has been abuzz with the release of Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth. This game is one that many have been waiting for and Square Enix has spared no expense when it comes to marketing. It appears the developer has gone the extra mile and is now advertising on Google via swarms of Chocobos.

If you want to see this crazy effect for yourself, head on over to Google and type the word “Chocobo” into the search bar. Everything will appear normal at first, with the addition of a Chocobo button at the bottom of the screen. Press this yellow button and a rumbling will start. Shortly after, a horde of Chocobos will run across the screen. There are even a few who are carrying the iconic hero of the tale Cloud, with his famous Buster Sword held high.

Google has been known for some wild effects over the years that turn the screen upside down, eat the search results, and even turn Google into a black hole. This is the newest in a long list of search options and our personal favorite due to our love of Final Fantasy. Maybe the next effect will allow us to summon Moogles and play a quick minigame with them.
