GTA Online is getting spooky with ghost hunts, and new Ghostbusters car

Rockstar Games has officially added another new vehicle to GTA Online as well as some other spooky attractions like ghost hunts and Halloween-themed deathmatches. GTA Online is known for having some iconic movie cars such as the Back to the Future Delorean, Tron-themed motorcycle, and even the Speed Racer car the Mach-5.

The latest additions to GTA Online add another iconic movie car to the game — the Ghostbusters car called the Ectomobile. Of course, the vehicle in the game doesn’t share the same name and is instead called the Albany Brigham. There is no denying that this car would look cool with some ghost-hunting decals though.

As darkness takes hold and supernatural sightings spike, the timeless Albany Brigham hearse arrives blending classic style and a spooky seasonal vibe.

Now available in GTA Online and free for GTA+ Members to claim through November 8: https://t.co/fXHDiDoqbt pic.twitter.com/NooH0hz9Vo

The announcement of the car was made on X (Formerly Twitter) as well as on the official GTA Newswire page along with other announcements. Currently, GTA+ Members can get the Albany Brigham for free until November 8, 2023, by heading to the Vinewood Car Club. Non-GTA+ subscribers can purchase the car from San Andreas Super Autos — one of the game’s many car companies.

Along with the car, players can now participate in ghost hunts with Ghosts Exposed team. Ghosts have appeared around Los Santos. Use your iFruit’s camera to capture images of them and send them to the Ghosts Exposed team for some extra cash and RP. If you happen to get too close to the ghosts, they will fly away so you need to watch out. Determined ghost hunters can get the Ghosts Exposed livery for the Albany Brigham by finding all of the lost souls around the city.

Three new deathmatch types were added to the game as well. Each of these deathmatches will earn you 2X GTA$ and RP. GTA+ members will get 4X GTA$ and RP. The new matches are as follows:

  • Drop Dead – The living are fighting the undead. All you need to do to win is outlast the undead. If you fail, you turn and must hunt down survivors.
  • Suck It Up – In this mode, lives are limited but dealing damage heals you. Keep yourself alive by taking down enemies.
  • Damned and Lost – You are stuck in a free-for-all deathmatch maze with enemies that have no blips. Good luck.

Additional bonuses with this update include possessed animals, double rewards on bunker sell missions, Halloween props, Halloween masks, and Halloween-themed freemode events. Things are getting very spooky in the city.
