Grand Theft Auto VI is one of the most anticipated games of the last decade. Thanks to the game series’ popularity and the wait for the next installment of the franchise, fans have been driven wild by Rockstar’s lack of communication. Since the first trailer was released, fans have not heard anything from Rockstar. Some have even said that Rockstar is purposefully staying silent so the fans generate hype for the game while others have said there has been no word about the title because it is going to be delayed to 2026. With hopes for a second trailer at an all-time high, fans have been coming up with crazy theories about when we will see more of the game. This time, the GTA VI fan theory involves adding up a bunch of numbers in a promo image released by Rockstar for GTA V.
A previous fan theory stated that we could see the second trailer before the upcoming Take-Two earnings call scheduled in early February. This is largely due to a theme of Rockstar announcing release dates shortly before the yearly call. Before that theory, it was the “27th theory” which boggled everyone’s minds.
GTA VI fan comes up with another wild second trailer theory
Douknowwhyareuhere recently posted their second trailer theory for GTA VI on the GTA6 SubReddit with the vague caption, “It’s coming…” The post has a picture that reads, “Look at Rockstar Games’ recent post on X. If you add the numbers they shared: 8 + 2 + 2 + 6 + 9 + 3 = 30. with the number 2 standing out, perhaps hinting at a possible second trailer.” The image then goes on to read, “And guess what? January 30, 2025, falls on a Thursday.”
This is all in reference to a promotional image Rockstar shared on its X page letting players know they can get the Vapid Dominator GT for free with GTA+. The shipping container to the right of the car has a list of numbers that happen to add up to 30. There is the number two beneath the numbers as well which is marked by a square. This has led many to believe that the second trailer for GTA VI will be released on January 30, 2025. Rockstar has not made any indication that it plans to release the second trailer for GTA VI this month but the company does have a history of making announcements around this time so it is not out of the realm of possibility. Keep your eyes peeled on the 30th for what could be an announcement of some kind.
