In case you were not aware, there are many in Sweden who take a summer break each year from July to mid-August. During this time, production slows and many enjoy their summer holiday. Because of this, there are some in the Helldivers 2 community that fear Arrowhead will be going radio silent for a month-and-a-half long period of time. During this time, there will be no updates and the game will basically turn on autopilot. If you were worried about this, Helldivers 2 CM Twinbeard is here to help ease your woes.
Recently, Shams Jorjani told the Helldivers 2 community that more devs will be coming back to social media to talk about the game. As everything progresses with Helldivers 2, we can expect to hear more feedback from the developers. However, that may need to wait until Arrowhead’s summer break. Knowing about this upcoming siesta, some fans have been worried about the game being abandoned. To this, Twinbeard stated, “Arrowhead won’t close during the summertime and Helldivers 2 won’t be abandoned.”

Those who were worried about the game taking a break or disappearing have nothing to worry about. While Helldivers 2 won’t be going anywhere, there will most likely be less information shared about the game and fewer updates during this portion of the summer months. Twinbeard continued to say, “It is, however, fact that Sweden in many ways go into a semi-siesta mode during Sweden industry summer break, which is typically early July to mid-August.”
As Twinbeard stated, we can expect things to be a little less exciting from July to the middle of August but this time is meant to help everyone unwind and get their creativity back. We are sure there will be more exciting additions to Helldivers 2 once the team is operating at full force near the end of the summer.
