Recently, Arrowhead Game Studios released a massive patch for Helldivers 2. This patch included over 100 changes and fixes, but when that wasn’t enough, Arrowhead released another smaller patch to help fix issues from the first one. The second patch was focused on fixing issues with crashing when using the social menu. It also fixed problems with the Spear, allowing it to target things correctly again. Following all of these changes, a Helldivers 2 fan and his community have created a comprehensive feedback report to help Arrowhead address more issues with the game.

Claysthetics on X posted the balance feedback report on his X page, tagging CCO Pilestedt and CEO Shams Jorjani. In response to this massive document, Jorjani replied with, “Wow – Was this comprehensive or what? A lot for us to digest. Forwarding to the right people.” In the post, Claysthetics made sure to state that this feedback form “focuses on fun over metagaming” and “addresses the real issues because spawns are not the problem.”

My community has come together to update our balance feedback form for every HD2 update. This is for patch 1.0.42 and focuses on fun over metagaming. This addresses the real issues becuase spawns are not the problem.@Pilestedt @helldivers2 @ShamsJorjani https://t.co/7IU48skLPH

After Jorjani’s response, Claysthetics replied, “I don’t really know what to say other than thank you. I look forward to the future of Helldivers 2.” This shows that the devs at Arrowhead respond well to criticism as long as it is done correctly and not thrown out with different threats. Some of the feedback that Claysthetics and his community have suggested are:

  • Automatons shooting through walls has been a problem since the March update and needs to be fixed this is the most frustrating mechanic. I can provide endless clips of every automaton enemy shooting through tons of different terrain pieces.
  • Ragdolling needs to be reigned in. When fighting the automatons there are times where you don’t play the game for upwards of 30 seconds of ragdolling. Losing control of your character for that long is bad for the longterm health of the game.
  • Remove game modifiers that take away from stratagems things like -25% CDR, 50% Calling in time and Orbital Scatter are all frustrating and as more enemy modifiers get added these have no place in the game.

There are over 17 pages of feedback in the report that the Helldivers 2 community came up with. As an added bonus, they also added information about ways to make weapons better such as increasing magazine sizes, adding more sights, and adding melee options. Even more, they added a list of items and stratagems that should be added such as a Stim Gun Pistol, Liber-Tea Dispenser, and more. Check out the whole document via Google Docs.
