Many Helldivers 2 players are already getting tired of Arrowhead’s lackluster Premium Warbond designs. After dropping the ball with Polar Patriots, fans are debating once again whether the devs should skip a Warbond and focus on more changes to the base game. This also comes after the developers nerfed multiple primary weapons to the point where the original guns are better than any DLC weapons.
While we await changes to the Polar Patriots Warbond or await another new Warbond, one Helldivers 2 fan has taken the time to create their own Wabond. User woodnco02 on Reddit posted their creation that they call Hazardous Holdings and many fans are more excited for it than the next release Arrowhead has planned. This fictional Warbond features three suits of armor that all appear to be hazmat-style suits. While two of the primary weapons look pretty standard, one is called the Caustic Cannon and we believe it would shoot some sort of acid. There is also a bonus called Chem Shielding that protects you from gas.
One user commented, “F*** you and your stupidly good fanart. Have an angry upvote because we will never get something this good!” We hate to say it but they took the words out of our mouths. We wish that Arrowhead would release something as nice as this. It feels similar to Doom and we couldn’t love it more. Another user said, “Imagine weapons starting to have elemental based on the Warbond that actually make them fun to use ….can’t be me, I’m no dev so what do I know right?”
Many are salty after the lack of theming done in the Polar Patriots Warbond. While each of the armors has cleats, none of them give you any bonuses while on icy terrain. None of the suits give you benefits when fighting in the snow either. If anything, this shows that Arrowhead needs to put more thought into the upcoming Premium Warbonds.
