It is about time that the weapons in Helldivers 2 get buffed. For months, players have complained about the state of the game and how Arrowhead has been nerfing every good weapon in it. In an upcoming patch, Arrowhead plans to undo all the nerfing and help out Helldivers by increasing the firepower of their weapons. While information about his upcoming patch is scarce, the developers have shared information about a few weapons that we can expect to see buffed in the near future. First, they talked about the Flamethrower and how it will be getting a 33% damage increase. Now, the Pilestedt and Malmborg are letting players know about a buff for the Railfun in Helldivers 2.
Shared on the official Helldivers 2 X page and the Helldivers 2 Discord server, Pilestedt and Malmborg broke down what kind of buffs the Railgun will be getting in the near future. Malmborg stated that “the Railgun does a lot of damage to normal enemies. It didn’t that much to very large enemies.” Because of this, the team “quadrupled that from 60 to 225.” That is a massive increase in durable damage.
Malmborg went on to say, “Normally if you charge it up close to full, you did 50% more damage. Now you’ll do 150% more damage.” This buff won’t come at a cost to the weapon as it will have the same overcharge time as before. While it is not stated in the video, the post does also let players know that the “fully overcharging damage will be increased from 150% to 250%.”
Many players in the comments praise the latest announcements from Arrowhead and say they are excited about the upcoming patch. While we know very little about what weapons are being buffed, the information announced so far is promising. This is a massive turnaround from a previous post where players agreed that almost every Helldivers 2 update has made the game worse.
