According to multiple Lego leakers, Animal Crossing is getting some Lego sets, expected to release in March 2024. While we haven’t seen what the sets look like, there are a total of five sets expected to release on this date, with no clues as to what they contain. You can hear YouTuber The Unibricks talking about it momentarily in the video below at the 10:38 mark among other leaks.

The five sets in the leak are only referred to in a numbers code, so there isn’t much to glean from them. Luckily, we at least have prices for the incoming build sets and how many pieces are within.

  • 77046 – $14.99 (170 pieces)
  • 77047 – $19.99 (164 pieces)
  • 77048 – $29.99 (233 pieces)
  • 77049 – $39.99 (389 pieces)
  • 77050 – $74.99 (535 pieces)

With the above information, we can speculate and guess what will be included in these Lego Animal Crossing sets, but there is no confirmation on them right now. First, we would expect these sets to be connected to Animal Crossing: New Horizons. That game may be getting a little old now, and Nintendo ceased making updates for it, but it was far and away the most successful game in the series, mostly because of the timing of its release with the covid-19 pandemic.

We would guess the largest build set will include an island for you to build up. You could adjust the hill and river areas and place buildings wherever possible. Other potential sets could be dedicated to buildings like the player’s house, the Resident Services building, Nook’s Cranny, the museum, and more. You can also expect these to come with various Animal Crossing character pieces like Isabelle, Tom Nook, Blathers, and more.

Animal Crossing isn’t the first Nintendo property to be made into Lego. Mario saw some success in this area in recent years, and there was even an NES set, so it’s not a huge surprise to see the companies link up again. It’s not the Legend of Zelda sets we want to see, but plenty of people will be interested in how Lego handles Animal Crossing.
