There are many players out there giving advice to those who are new to Fallout 76, but many of those players aren’t over level 1,000. After exploring the wastelands of Appalachia for what we can only assume is hundreds of hours, Ravvynfall took to Reddit to share some of their most useful tips to help out both new and returning players. After all, there have been many new faces in the wasteland since the Fallout TV show was released.
Ravvynfall is a player who has managed to reach over level 1,000. In the post, they said, “I figured it would be worthwhile to assemble a helpful info post for new and returning players, and see about what other tips you all might have to contribute as well!”
The post offers some great advice but some of our personal favorites are:
- Scrap all of your old weapons and armor instead of hoarding them.
- Store legendary Power Armor pieces on a chassis in your storage because it will weigh less.
- Always use crafting perks when crafting items. These perks include Super Duper, Ammosmith, Weaponsmith, and more.
- Always join a team. Even if you don’t interact with them, you still get bonuses.
- Check your perks a second time. Most players struggle with perks, not gear.
There are plenty more useful tips that the player posted but we personally like these ones the most. This post shows that many are still happy to welcome new players to Appalachia and want to offer tips so that nobody struggles, especially with new events such as Spring Cleaning.
One user commented saying, “Your second point is what I always preach. It’s the truth.” This is in response to the build tip which has been the case for many players. Someone else said they tested the theory and managed to get multiple kills with a standard SMG before their friend did. There is still a lot to learn about the wasteland, but it is good to see that players are still there to help others out.
