Nintendo has found its stride within the realm of movies with The Super Mario Bros. Movie releasing to critical acclaim. Shortly after it’s release in 2023 many fans were hoping Nintendo would follow the Marvel formula and establish the start of the larger Nintendo cinematic universe. There is a slide that does exist within this rather lengthy document that lives under the title of “Visual Content”. This is where we see the original Super Mario Bros. Movie followed by its planned sequel in 2026. In the theme of a larger Nintendo cinematic universe, The Legend Of Zelda Movie release date is slated for “202X”. This signifies that we will see a movie within The Legend Of Zelda universe before the end of the decade. As for specific details around this movie, we do know per the words of Nintendo’s President Shuntaro Furukawa it will be that of the live action variety which has garnered a lot of chatter online.
We already knew that the Zelda Movie would be a collaborative effort between Nintendo and Sony Pictures last November.
