Fans of the popular video game series Assassin’s Creed won’t have much longer to wait for details on the upcoming Magic: The Gathering card set. The series of video games takes players into historical locations during critical points in time, like the Boston Massacre, the Golden Age of Piracy, and the French Revolution, though they are still works of fiction. The team at Wizards of the Coast will now bring those adventures into the form of cards. And players can expect plenty of previews leading up to launch day.
The previews for Magic: The Gathering – Assassin’s Creed officially kick off June 18, 2024, beginning at 9 a.m. PT (12 p.m. ET). On Magic’s YouTube channel and at Twitch.tv/Magic, creators will give fans a look at the game’s mechanics, the new artwork, and the card designs.
After June 18th, Magic will be releasing card previews on its website. Every morning new cards will be showcased on a Monday-Friday basis. But players don’t have to wait three more days to get a first look! There are already a some cards shown on the official website. These include the Haystack artifact White card, well-known as a hiding spot from the Assassin’s Creed games. There are also character cards with Leonardo da Vinci (Blue), Cleopatra Exiled Pharaoh (Green/Black) and Ezio Auditore da Firenze (Black).

Other cards showcased include Temporal Trespass (Blue) that lets players take another turn. Conspiracy (Black) that changes creature types. The Spear of Leonidas (Red) which is a Legendary Artifact – Equipment. And The Animus which is another Legendary Artifact and a well-known piece of Assassin’s Creed storytelling.
Magic: The Gathering – Assassin’s Creed will release into retail on July 5th, 2024.
