The Thing and Human Torch will be added to Marvel Rivals shortly as the first half of season one is drawing to a close. On February 21, 2025, the second half of the season will begin. With this will come a few changes such as a new update and new characters. Undoubtedly, many will be scrambling to try out the new heroes but only one of them is getting special treatment. Human Torch has been confirmed to be getting a new skin shortly after his addition to the game. Better start grinding those ranks so you can get the new Human Torch skin in Marvel Rivals.
Recently, NetEase posted Dev Talk 11 which talked about the second half of season one. In the talk, the team mentioned that there would be a rank reset which they quickly pulled a one-eighty on after fan backlash.
Human Torch getting new skin in Marvel Rivals
In Dev Talk Vol. 12, NetEase talked about changes coming in the second half of the first season. The second half of the season will begin at 8am UTC on February 21. At this time, eligible players will receive their rewards from the first half of the season. Those who achieved gold rank will receive the Blood Shield skin for Invisible Woman.
Going into the latter half of the season, players who achieve gold rank will also get the Human Torch skin Blood Blaze. The post states, “In order to claim both rewards, players must participate in at least 10 competitive matches during the second half of the season and reach gold rank or higher.”
This is the last opportunity you will have to earn both of these costumes going forward so you will want to start grinding ranked matches if you haven’t been already. There has been no official look at the Blood Blaze skin as of yet, but we can expect to see it in action before the update comes at the end of next week.
