Lies of P Difficulty Options Feature

Lies of P is a fairly faithful Soulslike game. As such, it can be extremely difficult, especially if you are new to the Soulslike genre. My first playthrough of the game was met with harsh reality when I struggled to defeat some of the bosses. After getting used to the game, it became much easier, but that doesn’t mean everyone jumped in on the craze. Many players didn’t want to pick up the title thanks to its difficulty. That, however, is about to change as Lies of P is going to be getting difficulty options in a future update.

Lies of P is getting difficulty options and more

A while back, it was announced that Lies of P would be getting a DLC this summer. The DLC, titled Overture, does not currently have a set release date. However, before the addition is released, Lies of P will be getting a massive update. As part of this update, the game will get added difficulty options called Butterfly’s Guidance and Awakened Puppet. Both of these new modes will provide a more story-focused adventure for players to enjoy that isn’t as difficult as the game’s base setting.

Developer NEOWIZ has not mentioned how exactly these game modes will differ from the base difficulty. Along with these new difficulties, NEOWIZ announced that it will be adding a dedicated boss rush game mode. This is something players have been asking about for a while, so it is nice to see that the developers are listening to the fanbase. This mode will allow you to fight “Battle Memories” of the game’s various bosses and bosses from the Overture DLC. The bosses will have different tiers of difficulty, which NEOWIZ teased will include additional unlockable rewards.

On top of all of this, NEOWIZ is also adding a game mode called Death March. This mode pairs with the Battle Memories mode, allowing players to battle three consecutive bosses. During this run, you will have fewer items and fewer opportunities to heal, making things much more difficult than normal.
