Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Zombies has teased its latest perk. Melee Macchiato is the newest perk-a-cola being added to the game. While we haven’t seen it in action, the little trailer advert might give us some hints as to what it does. This and other teases for the new Zombies mode can be found on the game’s The Truth Dies site.
What does Melee Macchiato do?
Starting off, the name Melee Macchiato obviously points to this perk enhancing your melee attack in some way. Distinctly, there are boxing gloves on the can, so we wonder if this may point to knives not being the main form of melee attacks. If that is the case, we wonder if this perk would make enemies stagger backward after being struck.
There’s also the chance that the perk just speeds up your melee attacks and adds some damage to them. Looking at the nutrition facts on the can, there are 1,000 grams of sugar in this drink, and it gives 57,000 calories. We probably should have all figured that perk-a-colas weren’t the most healthy thing to put in your body, but these cans seem to be a one-way ticket to diabetes land for the drinker. That kind of sugar high could make you move faster.
Melee Macchiato is advertised to cost 2,500 points, which traditionally is the same price as Juggernog. However, Zombies has been known to play with its pricing structure, so that may just be the starting price. For example, in Black Ops Cold War, whatever perk you bought first would cost 2,500 points. As you would go buy additional perks, there price would increase by 500. That may be the case in Black Ops 6 as well.
Currently, Treyarch is in the mode of teasing various things coming in Black Ops 6 Zombies. The Truth Dies also has a slight tease of a spider-like creature with a Margwa head popping out of a zombie. This comes days after the new Gobblegum Machine was shown off. We seem to be gearing up for a bigger reveal coming soon.
