One of the best farming methods in Monster Hunter Wilds has officially been done away with thanks to the March 10 update. While the update fixes many issues that the game has, such as glitches with main campaign quests and abilities activating when they are supposed to, it also disrupts the fan-favorite pollen farming method. Now, players will need to find a new way to collect massive amounts of Melding Tickets so they can get their hands on decorations and other endgame items.
Monster Hunter Wilds update disrupts pollen farm
Since Monster Hunter Wilds was released, the go-to method of farming Gold Melding Tickets was to collect Nightflower Pollen from Ephemeral Blossoms and trading it. What made this farming method so effective was that Ephemeral Blossoms would appear every time players activated a specific optional quest via the handler Alma. You could then take the pollen to Nata at Suja and trade it for a Gold Melding Ticket. Using this method, players amassed massive amounts of end game crafting materials and decorations.
User The-often-wrong-frog posted about the update on the Monster Hunter SubReddit, laying out all of the changes being made. Among these changes is one that states, “Some items/rewards can be obtained repeatedly under certain conditions.” This refers to the Ephemeral Blossoms being repeatedly obtained by starting the optional quest, and the Gold Melding Tickets being able to be obtained consistently at Suja. One user stated that this Monster Hunter Wilds update has “killed pollen farming.”
Luckily, you can still farm Wyvern Coins and trade them for Melding Tickets. The process still takes time, but it can be done effectively. Many players stated that they will switch to this farming method thanks to the update, so, if you still want to farm these tickets, you can do so by trading in your Wyvern Coins. Make sure you hurry before Capcom patches that farming method as well.
