The sixth set for the popular Disney card game, Lorcana, is set to be released later this year. In the recent Lorecast on Twitch, the team revealed when we can expect the set to drop along with a handful of new cards that will make an appearance in the new set called Azurite Sea. Recently, the Shimmering Skies set was released which offered many new cards. However, one big thing to note about the upcoming Azurite Sea set is the large focus on heroes and pirates. Those with decks focused around these card types will definitely want to get their hands on the new set.
On the September 11 Lorecast, the team unveiled some of the new cards coming in the Azure Sea set. Mushureport managed to get digital copies of the cards and user Narzghal posted them on Reddit. Among these cards, we have characters such as:
- Baymax – Personal Healthcare Companion
- Baymax – Armored Companion
- Galactic Council Chamber – Location
- Chip – Ranger Leader
- Dale – Mischievous Ranger
- Fred – Mascot by Day
- Gadget Hackwrench – Brilliant Bosun
- Hiro Hamada – Robotics Prodigy
- Honey Lemon – Chemical Genius
- Hot Potato – Action
- Jim Hawkins – Honorable Pirate
- Kakamora – Boarding Party
- Rescue Rangers Away – Action
- Sisu – In Her Element
- Stitch – Alien Buccaneer
- Mad Hatter’s Teapot – Item
- Tigger – In the Crow’s Nest
- Wasabi – Methodical Engineer
- Yzma – Conniving Chemist
The list of cards revealed is pretty substantial and one of the themes for the set appears to be pirates as multiple characters are pirate-themed such as Jim Hawkins, Tigger, and Kakamora. Stitch even gets a new pirate-themed card. Many of the cards also have the hero tag as well so those who are running hero-themed decks will get many new additions.
The release date for the upcoming set was also revealed during the live stream as well as some products that you can expect. You can expect to see two new single-player decks; one focused on heroes and the other on pirates. There will also be a new Stitch gift set featuring the pirate Stitch card, booster packs, and the Illineer’s Trove box which will have multiple packs, a lore counter, and damage counters. All of this will be released in select stores on November 15, 2024. The full release of the set will arrive on November 25, 2024.
