The Nintendo Switch 2 is the highly anticipated successor to the Nintendo Switch. While there has been no official announcement for the system, many leaks have showcased nearly everything we could possibly want to know. The latest leak does not showcase tech specs or designs but it does show something everyone will need when the system is released; accessories. That’s right, the Nintendo Switch 2 case and tempered glass have supposedly leaked online. There have also been leaks for the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons.
Nintendo Switch 2 case and tempered glass leak
First, we have the case and tempered glass. Both of these are must-have accessories for a system such as the Nintendo Switch 2. User eraboy356b posted the leak on Reddit. This leak showcases listings from retailer Alibaba – a popular online marketplace for purchasing wholesale items – containing two carrying cases and one with tempered glass to protect the system’s screen.
The first carrying case is fairly simple, featuring an all-black design and two bulges where the system’s Joy-Cons sit. The second case is more interesting as it is a bit more bold with the words “Nintendo Switch 2” in large lettering plastered on it.
The tempered glass leak comes from an image on Imgur that was posted which appears to compare the size of the original Nintendo Switch’s screen to the size of the screen of the Nintendo Switch 2. If this image is accurate, the Nintendo Switch 2 looks to be much bigger than its predecessor. It also lines up with the size of the case which the site says is 11.6 inches wide and 5.9 inches tall.
Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons leak
To go along with the tempered glass and case leak, the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons have supposedly been shown off as well. In a video on the website BiliBili – a popular Chinese social network – someone claims to be showcasing the Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Cons.
The Joy-Cons look different from the original system’s controllers and look to feature a better locking mechanism as well as a larger release button. Instead of one Joy-Con having a sensor on the bottom, both appear to have a large sensor that could be used to enhance the system’s motion controls.
