It’s no secret that Overwatch 2, and Blizzard in general for that matter, has not been a particularly popular entity in gaming over the course of the last handful of years. There’s the sexual misconduct lawsuit, the Blitzchung situation, and if we’re looking at the game itself, there have been a number of unpopular moves including the cancelation of the game’s PvE mode and the often cited exorbitant pricing for skins in its stores. A lot of promises were not being kept at the time, and losing the promised PvE content was a significant departure from what players were expecting. However, since that team, the Overwatch team has been much better with their communication and the willingness to make changes to make the game better. The

I wrote an article almost exactly a year ago about how I was disappointed that the game will never be more than what it started out to be in 2016, but at that time, I could start to see the positive signs of life. Now all this time later, things are finally beginning to pay off in a big way for both the Overwatch 2 community and its developers.
