The Legend of Vox Machina is an animated series on Amazon Prime from Critical Role. This Dungeons & Dragons (and other TTRPGs) livestream began a decade ago and has only grown in popularity and success. After an impressive Kickstarter campaign to produce an animated series based on their tabletop adventures, they have released two seasons of The Legend of Vox Machina. Fans no longer have to wait for the release date of the third.
The third season will premiere on Amazon Prime on October 3rd, 2024. Along with this announcement from the cast of Critical Role, the introduction title sequence for the new season dropped.
This sequence shows Vox Machina having fun and being at peace, as well as fighting intense battles. Vax’s uncertain relationship with the raven goddess is highlighted. Those who followed the original Dungeons & Dragons campaign that streamed on Twitch will recognize key villains and side characters, including the impressive dragon at the very end.
The second season of The Legend of Vox Machina ended February 2023. Since then, we also revealed the announcement of an animated series for the Mighty Nein. This group of adventures were in Critical Role’s second D&D campaign. The group of voice actors, led by Matthew Mercer, are currently playing through their third campaign with the adventuring group known as Bells Hells.
Vox Machina follows the story of a group of adventurers who turn into powerful heroes. These include the ranger Vex with her bear Trinket, her twin brother Vax, the cleric Pike, the bard Scanlan, gunslinger Percy, the druid Keyleth, and imposing goliath barbarian Grog. Their travels take them all over the world of Tal’Dorei fighting dangerous monsters, saving cities, and often coming into conflict with one another.
Fans only have a little longer to wait! Coming this October, Vox Machine will take a chance and roll the dice once again on Amazon Prime.
