Leaks and reveals have been aplenty for the upcoming Azurite Sea set for Disney Lorcana. It seems like each new day there are more and more cards appearing for the upcoming set. Today, six more cards have been revealed. Among these are new characters, additional locations, and a new song that are sure to be included in decks in the near future. Let’s break down each of the new cards revealed today.
The new cards were posted by user Waiting_For_Dentice on Reddit and they have so far gotten a fair amount of attention from players. The upcoming set, Azurite Sea, has a big focus on cards with the tags “pirate” and “inventor” so you can be sure to see cards that are focused around those tags.
Revealed today, we have the following cards:
- The Islands I Pulled From the Sea (Action, Song) – “Search your deck for a location card, reveal that card to all players, and put it into your hand. Then, shuffle your deck.”
- Skull Rock, Isolated Fortress (Location) – “Characters get +1 power while here. At the start of your turn, if you have a Pirate character here, gain 1 lore.”
- Hundred Acre Island, Pooh’s Home (Location) – “During an opponent’s turn, whenever a character is banished while here, gain 1 lore.”
- Moana, Self-Taught Sailor (Character) – “This character can’t challenge unless you have a captain character in play.”
- Gopher, Ship’s Carpenter (Character)
- Aunt Cass, Biggest Fan (Character) – “Whenever this character quests, chosen inventor gets +1 lore this turn.”
Already, many have deemed Moana as the best card in this reveal. This is due to her being a one-cost card with three power and two willpower. While she cannot challenge without a captain character on the field, this can easily be negated early because there are many three-cost captains available. We are very interested in the new song card revealed since it will make it easier for us to get locations out on the field.
