Warbonds are always something exciting to look forward to in Helldivers 2. Admittedly, not all of the warbonds that Arrowhead has pushed out have been very popular (looking at you Polar Patriots) most have added fan-favorite weapons, emotes, and more to the game. There are currently six warbonds in the game with five of them being marked as “premium warbonds” which are bought using Super Credits. Currently, only rumors have been spread about the next warbond coming to Helldivers 2 and some of those rumors may have been confirmed by Sony accidentally.
User ExoticBobcat777 on Reddit recently shared a surprising information about the rumored Freedom’s Flame warbond. This warbond was rumored to be released next and Reddit users in the past have shared datamined information about its contents. Within the last few weeks, community manager Twinbeard stated that nothing about the upcoming warbond had officially been revealed. That changes to day as the post from ExoticBobcat777 shows a PS5 screenshot with information about the warbond.
In the PS5 notification, it states, “The Freedom’s Flame premium warbond is deploying to your Destroyer’s Aquisitions panel. Includes fiery weapons, life-saving armor, cool capes, fresh emotes, player cards, and patterns.” Of course, the warbond has not officially been released yet. We know that Arrowhead talked about slowing down the release of the warbonds so Sony might still be sticking to the previous schedule and forget to update it.
Thanks to this slip-up, we now have confirmation that the next warbond is in fact called Freedom’s Flame. We also have confirmation that it will contain new weapons, armor, capes, emotes, player cards, and patterns. We assume the patterns will be for the Hellpod and Exosuits just as they were in the previous warbond. We imagine there could be a new type of flamethrower being added and maybe even some fireproof armors. Whatever Arrowhead has in store probably won’t be known until next month though.
