There are not many heroes that players ban from their teams in Marvel Rivals. Currently, most of the heroes are well-balanced and everyone enjoys the game. However, there are some notable exceptions. In the past, characters such as Wolverine were often excluded from games. Now, the crown of most banned character in Marvel Rivals has fallen from Wolverine and has been awarded to Spider-Man – the sinister webslinger who always seems to get in the way.

Season 2 of Marvel Rivals is about to arrive and fans are excited about the numerous cosmetics that are going to be added to the game. There is also talk of Daredevil being added to Marvel Rivals in a later season.

Spider-Man hits the Marvel Rivals ban list

Spider-Man has swung his way to the top of the Marvel Rivals ban list for season 1.5. During the first half of the season, this award was given to Wolverine. Currently, RivalsMeta has Wolverine’s ban rate sitting at 30.39% while Spider-Man is at 34.38% – a significant jump from the first half of the season. Groot has also surpassed Wolverine with a ban rate of 31.67%. Just behind Wolverine is Winter Soldier with a ban rate of 30.24%.

Spider-Man boasts some impressive stats on RivalsMeta with a win rate of 48.53% and a pick rate of 19.31%. The ban rate for Spider-Man rose over 30% since the first half of the season. During the first half, Spider-Man had a ban rate of 3.24%.

The reason for the increase is largely due to the hitbox issue that affects Spider-Man, making it far easier for him to hit players on the opposing team. Wolverine has a similar issue with his Feral Leap ability. It is important to note that this issue has not been fixed in the Season 2 patch notes. There is currently no information about when a fix will come for the issue.
