The concept of Squirrel With a Gun is simple: a squirrel gets ahold of a gun and wreaks havoc on suburbia. Maybe the residents forgot to fill their bird feeders, or perhaps they were a bit too mean to the friendly wildlife. The reason may not be clear, but the actions are definitely noticeable. In each trailer, the squirrel in question has been seen destroying modern society with pistols and SMGs. Thanks to another sneak peek of the upcoming game, players can now unleash their inner Link and destroy the inside of homes.
Developer Daniel DeEntremont shared the feature on Twitter yesterday including the caption “channeling your inner Link.” Thanks to the new feature, you can now pick up various objects around the world and smash them to pieces as concerned residents of the suburban neighborhood look on in horror.
Throughout the video, the squirrel can be seen grabbing objects in a kitchen before throwing them to the ground; shattering plates, wine bottles, and even a lamp in the process. The squirrel goes so far as to even destroy the house plants as the homeowners cower in the corner near the refrigerator.
There is currently no known release date for Squirrel With a Gun but it is certainly shaping up to be a hilarious game with some similarities to Goat Simulator. Previous showcases of the game have revealed the save mechanism being bird feeders and have even shown the squirrel’s method of flying using an SMG. There is so much wackiness wrapped up in the game that it is hard to wrap your head around everything. Be on the lookout for Squirrel With a Gun when it comes at some point in the future.
