Dead by Daylight is no stranger to bringing monsters into the fog. Sure, you could say that about characters like Michael Myers, but in a literal sense, we see The Dredge and The Unknown. One of pop culture’s most iconic monsters is missing, though, and the community would like to see it. Could Dead by Daylight ever get a werewolf Killer?

How is there still no werewolf killer?

When daydreaming about what a werewolf in Dead by Daylight could look like, there was quite a range of responses. Some have said they would like to see the character transition during the match. We think it would be interesting to see a person who gains more strength and speed as the match goes on. As the moon rises, they transform and become a bigger threat as the match continues.

Another interesting idea would be to make them a tracker. They could have the ability to pick up scents so hurt Survivors would be in extra danger as their blood trails could be highlighted. Maybe a general scent ability to fond Survivors hiding in lockers or corners. You could take away that ability near generators because of the oil smell of something. There are a lot of ways a Dead by Daylight werewolf could go.

Some commenters on the thread also mentioned that developers at Behaviour want to avoid using classic monsters. They’d rather have characters with more modern twists to them. While Dracula is coming by the end of this year and we just got a Lich, those are both tied to licenses in Castlevania and Dungeons & Dragons. Would Dead by Daylight need an already existing license to make a werewolf? We don’t think so, but maybe that is what they are waiting for.
