The First Descendant has been a long-awaited looter-shooter from developer Nexon Games. Despite a rocky launch for the game, it has soared to the top of the Steam top sellers page, dethroning Elden Ring and the Shadow of the Erdtree DLC in the process. While the success of The First Descendant is great for Nexon Games, the developers were hit with some pretty harsh reviews based on the delay of the in-game currency known as Caliber.
Caliber is the currency that players use in The First Descendant to purchase items such as skins. Many bought his currency at launch and have since not received the item in their inventory despite the Steam purchase being successful. Thankfully, Nexon Games is well aware of this issue and is now offering compensation to all The First Descendant players.
Today, Nexon Games posted on the Steam product page saying, “We sincerely apologize once again for the inconvenience caused by the issues that occurred during the opening day. As a token of our apology, we prepared a compensation.” This compensation includes the following:
- Gold Gain +30% Boost (Duration 3 days)
- Kuiper Shard Gain +30% Boost (Duration 3 days)
- Descendant EXP Gain + 30% Boost (Duration 3 days)
- Weapon Proficiency EXP Gain +30% Boost (Duration 3 days)
Each of these items will be sent to your in-game mailbox and every player will get them as long as they log in before midnight on July 7, 2024. After this date, the compensation will expire and those who log in afterward will not be eligible to receive the boosters. Nexon Games also addressed the issue with Twitch Drops not being delivered by saying, “Although the issue causing delays in Twitch Drops Reward has been resolved, we have identified an additional issue where some rewards are still not being delivered. We are currently in contact with Twitch to resolve this issue. Once it is resolved, we will notify you through a separate notice.”
