The next collaboration in Overwatch 2 seems to be focused on Transformers. Season 11 for the game is coming this Thursday, so, as usual, a new season trailer dropped. Among the new content coming is a new Push map called Runasapi, which is where Illari grew up, reworks for the Colosseo map, and a limited mode to go along with the Ultrawatch theme for the season. While all of this is exciting, the trailer ended with the Overwatch logo changing into the Transformers logo.

Obviously, we don’t know anything else about what Transformers content is coming to Overwatch 2, but we can take guesses from past collaborations. Previously, the One Punch Man and Cowboy Bebop content was focused solely on new skins for heroes that you could purchase. That is likely to be the case again with no new mode.

Given the mechanical nature of Transformers, we would guess the new skins are likely dedicated to the omnics, one of which definitely being Bastion. We wouldn’t be surprised if he gets an Optimus Prime skin. There’s always a chance that one of the humans becomes robotic or they go with a D.Va skin as well, but we won’t know until it’s revealed.

When will the Overwatch 2 Transformers collaboration begin?

The Overwatch 2 Transformers collaboration was only teased in the closing seconds of the Season 11 trailer, so we would expect that content to be coming in about a month or so. No date was given, but the Summer Games event was also revealed to be returning. If we were to speculate, we would say that Blizzard would want the Transformers skin to be released right before then, at the end of July or early August.

While we’re not the biggest Transformers fans, the futuristic world of Overwatch filled with robots does fit for that series. We’re sure plenty of fans will be jumping at the opportunity to grab these skins.
