Modern Horizons 3 is the upcoming Magic: The Gathering set. The set is expected to release on June 14th, and brings back the god-like titans known as the Eldrazi. The Eldrazi were part of a 2009 adventure set. Fan favorite Eldrazi are coming back for the new set this year, and they will be extremely rare.
The Eldrazi titans known as Emrakul, Ulamog, and Kozilek make a return in Modern Horizons 3. There will only be 250 prints of each card, making them highly valuable and highly rare. You may be able to find them in Play Boosters and Collector’s Boosters. Given how powerful these cards are expected to be, finding them will enhance any deck. Or, if someone buys Magic cards to make money, they are sure to sell for a good price.
Further details have come out about the upcoming Magic: The Gathering set:
- 10 borderless mythic rares
- 1/64 Booster and 1/15.5 Collector’s Boosters will have a Special Guests card
- 17 alternative art cards (10 rare and 7 mythic)
- 30 in a borderless frame break style
- 58 with retro frames
- Doubled-faced Planeswalker cards
There are also four new Commanders being released. Disa the Restless can return cards from the graveyard. Omo, Queen of Vesuva uses counters to enhance land and creature cards. Satya, Aetherflux Genius can make copies of creatures via tokens. And finally Ulalek, Fused Monstrosity is an Eldrazi that lets you copy spell, activated, and trigger effects.
To build hype for this set, on the Magic: The Gathering website players can read nearly one hundred stories about the characters and lore of Modern Horizons 3. The stories came in three waves that include The Eldrazi Awaken, Battles at the Brink, and Zendikar’s Last Stand. The final story wave was just recently posted, making the full narrative storyline ready for binge readers.
The upcoming livestream on May 21st 9 a.m. PT will provide more details about Modern Horizons 3. The cards are available for pre-order on Amazon and local game stores that sell Magic cards.
