Nintendo has been showing off some games at Gamescom, with many upset by the quality of games such as Elden Ring and Borderlands 4. With this disappointment, Nintendo needs a win, which makes it a great time for a Nintendo Direct to show off some of the upcoming titles. We still don’t know the release date for Metroid Prime 4, a game that many have been wanting for years, and little is still known about The Duskbloods. Luckily, it is being reported that a Nintendo Direct is coming in September, making it not too far off from the current date, but when can it be expected?

Nintendo Direct Planned For Mid-September

According to reports spotted by outlets such as VGC, which were given information of the presentation by Switch Force and other outlets, Nintendo is planning a Nintendo Direct for mid-September. Supposedly, the date for this Direct is going to be September 12, 2025. This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, considering Nintendo has held a Direct nearly every September since the company began the Nintendo Direct presentations. The only year a presentation hasn’t happened in September is in 2024.

There is currently no information about what Nintendo plans on showing off during the event, but many assume it will include more information about Metroid Prime 4, which is still set to be released sometime this year. One thing is certain: Kirby Air Riders will not be making an appearance, since Nintendo has already revealed all of the information about the upcoming title and its release date.

Another possible game that could make an appearance is Elden Ring, which is another game that is supposed to receive a Nintendo Switch 2 port at some point this year and does not have an official release date. It would also be a good time to unveil more information about some rumored Nintendo Switch titles, such as the rumored 3D Mario title and the possible Master Chief Collection port.
