Update: they got us. Soon after we published this article, Disney Dreamlight Valley posted that the building shown in the screenshot was an April Fool’s joke. However, while it will not be an Olaf-themed snow place, it will have a different function in a future update.

April Fools! We've just gotten word that our previous post wasn't accurate. We're not quite sure what this new building is, but stay tuned for more news! ❓✨ pic.twitter.com/3QQ7kZNtaO

Disney Dreamlight Valley has posted on their X account that fans can look forward to a new building addition to their valley soon. Olaf’s Snow Sculpture Emporium brings the winter feel just after the beginning of spring. This building will be included in the game’s next big content update.

With the arrival of spring, keep the cool times going with a fabulous frosty figure!☃️✨

Of course, with today being April Fool’s Day, you are right to be a little skeptical about any news you see on social media. However, we will say that we think this is a legitimate announcement. For one, there isn’t really anything too jokey about the post. Olaf and other Frozen characters are already in Disney Dreamlight Valley, so adding a new building that allows them to do more makes sense. Our second reason for thinking this is real is that an in-game screenshot of Olaf’s Snow Sculpture Emporium would take a lot of development time to implement. We wouldn’t think that Gameloft would do that just to play a prank on the community.

It is also important to note that on April Fool’s Day last year, Disney Dreamlight Valley posted about using animals as lamps. That joke post was made to tease animal poses coming to the game. There is always a chance that this post may be teasing other content that is on the way. Keep your eyes open in the coming weeks for more info.

As of this writing, we do not know the exact function of Olaf’s Snow Sculpture Emporium. Speaking speculatively, we would imagine that Olaf would use this area to create furniture made from ice and snow. Maybe he would work alongside Elsa or Snowball for this. Maybe ice sculptures and statues are on display in the area as a museum-like area.
