Arrowhead has been on a roll of announcing buffs for various weapons coming in a patch later this month. After releasing terrible update after terrible update, the team is finally giving players what they want – an increase in their firepower. So far, we have seen information on buffs for the Flamethrower and the Railgun. Now, Arrowhead has announced another buff and it is for the fan-favorite Breaker shotgun. Not only that, but the team has another announcement to make later on. Let’s break down this update and see what we can expect when September 17 rolls around.
The Arrowhead team made the announcement via the official Helldivers 2 X page and the official Helldivers 2 Discord channel. As with previous update announcements, Pilestedt and Malmborg read off the information about the buff. At the start, Pilestedt asks, “Have we finally reverted the Breaker to what it was at launch?” To this, Malmborg replies with “Yes.”
Continuing on in the video, Malmborg stated, “It actually got more stagger.” Pilestedt continued by saying, “And 16 rounds in the magazine.” Finally, they confirmed that they didn’t take away any magazines. In the official post, it reads that the “stagger force increased from 10 to 15.”
This is yet another welcome buff coming in the September 17 update that players can look forward to. Many in the comments are praising these announcements and are excited to hear more of them in the coming days leading up to the update. The Breaker announcement is one that many have been waiting for since the weapon has always been a fan-favorite since the game launched back in February. Some are even saying that this buff for the Breaker will be the “greatest comeback in gaming history.” While we won’t go that far, we are excited to see the weapon get some much-needed attention are can’t wait to start using it again.
