Switch 2 leaks have been everywhere and it has led many to question why Nintendo has yet to announce the official successor to the Switch. It seems as though we are getting new leaks each day and they aren’t just from dataminers. Instead, companies have started to showcase their products. One such company rang in the New Year by unveiling its Nintendo Switch 2 case. The company is PlayVital and its Switch 2 case gives us a very close-up view of the upcoming console.
Recently, a Nintendo Switch 2 leaker stated that they had a Switch 2 and would unveil the images on Christmas day. This passed and there have been mixed thoughts about the images shared. Content creators have also been talking about a potential reveal of the Switch 2 in the early days of January.
PlayVital releases images of its Switch 2 case
PlayVital recently posted about its Nintendo Switch 2 case on its official X page but the actual announcement was made a few days prior on January 1, 2025, on PlayVital’s store page. On the X announcement, players asked when the case would be available for pre-order. To this, the company responded, “Pre-order details will be shared after official announcements regarding the console. Stay tuned!”
In the statement released by PlayVital, the company talks about the various high-profile leaks regarding the Switch 2. The company also stated it is “in the process of developing high-quality accessories for the Switch 2.” On top of this, images for the Switch 2 case released by PlayVital give us a closer look at the upcoming console.
The key features that many are excited about for the Switch 2 are the magnetic Joy-Con controllers and U-shaped kickstand that will provide better support for the system. The case images do show a bit of the kickstand on the back of the Switch 2 as well as the release buttons for the Joy-Con controllers. There is also the important “C-button” on the front of the right Joy-Con.
There is no official pre-order date but rumors have been spreading about a possible Switch 2 reveal happening on January 8, 2025. After this announcement, there will undoubtedly be more companies showing off their accessories for the upcoming system.
