Pokémon Legends: Z-A has been out for about a week now, and many are praising it. Sorry, many critics are praising it, while many fans are understandably upset with the game. The lack of textures, small map, and repetitive gameplay loop are all major issues that players have had with the latest addition to the Pokémon series. There have been countless videos circulating on the internet showcasing the lack of 3D models throughout the city, particularly those around the windows and doors. Well, one fan has decided to recreate part of the Pokémon Legends: Z-A map in the Far Cry 5 map editor, and the results are what we should have received from Game Freak and Nintendo.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A Map Gets Remade in Far Cry 5

There is no denying that the Pokémon Legends: Z-A map could use a little bit of a rework. Lumiose City is supposed to be grand, but the results in Legends: Z-A are anything but. The wall textures are flat, lacking any sort of meaningful detail, and the city streets just feel bland. To prove it, a user by the name of mojoswoptops2020 on the Gaming Subreddit shared a post of Lumiose City recreated partially in the Far Cry 5 map editor.

The image the user shared is only of the main street of Lumiose City, but it looks far better than anything we have seen in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. For starters, the windows have depth to them. Along with that, there are particles in the air that make the city feel more alive.

This user has made Lumiose City look better than ever before, showing that with a little care, Nintendo and Game Freak could have made something amazing. Instead, the developers decided to cut corners when it came to the map, and many fans of the Pokémon series have noticed.

While the map is the main complaint fans have had about Pokémon Legends: Z-A, there are plenty of other issues that players have been facing, such as bugs, lackluster combat, and repetitive side quests.
