The Pokémon Company announced that a Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Epilogue is coming in the new year. That’s right, after spending time traveling across both the Land of Kitakami and the various biomes of the Blueberry Academy Terrarium, this generation is finally coming to a close. Little is known about this epilogue so far but there is a trailer showing off some of the characters. We also have the release date which is confirmed to be January 11, 2024.

The trailer for the upcoming epilogue is only 40 seconds long but we can make some predictions about it. For starters, we are going back to the Land of Kitakami for another adventure. As shown in the trailer, we will be accompanied by Arven, Nemona, and Penny. In the trailer, we are shown one of the signs for Ogerpon as well as a pink plushie. Check out the trailer on X or on the official YouTube channel.

According to leaks and dataminers, Pecharunt is a Pokémon that was meant to appear in the Teal Mask DLC but has since not shown its face. A fan theory then predicted that Pecharunt would be possessing Kieran due to his change in attitude in The Indigo Disk DLC. Considering the plushie at the trailer’s end looks exactly like the character model for the Pokemon, we assume that this is the moment Pecharunt will finally appear.

We believe that the possession theory could still hold strong. After the events of The Indigo Disk, we snapped Kieran out of his funk. This may cause Pecharunt to leave his body and then seek out a new host. It would be strange to not see Kieran and Carmine in the epilogue since they were a large focus of both DLC parts. After Pecharunt breaks free, it most likely will cause a ruckus around Kitakami and we will be brought in to stop it.

That is our prediction at least. What do you think will happen in this epilogue? Be sure to complete both DLC portions as well as the entire base game so you don’t miss out on the upcoming conclusion to the story.
