Hollow Knight took the world by storm when it was released back in 2017. Not long after, fans were excited about the prospect of a sequel to the game. Years passed, gamers grew older, and the idea that another Hollow Knight game would come died off. Eight years later, fans finally got what they wanted in Hollow Knight: Silksong. Now, Team Cherry is riding the high of this new release, which has seen overwhelmingly positive reviews across the board. If you are still craving your Hollow Knight fix, Team Cherry has not confirmed that a DLC for Silksong is in the works, and it is “coming in a reasonable timeframe.”

Silksong DLC Confirmed by Team Cherry

Recently, Bloomberg talked with the co-founder of Team Cherry, Ari Gibson, and they confirmed that DLC for Silksong is in the works. Gibson said, “Yes, we’re continuing to work on the game, we’re pursuing the things that excite us.” Gibson went on to say, “There will be new stuff coming in a reasonable timeframe and not seven years from now.”

This is great news for fans who needed to wait over seven years for another game from Team Cherry. On top of this, Gibson stated that he and Team Cherry co-founder William Pellen “might have some vague ideas” for the DLC. He also told Bloomberg that he didn’t want to “overpromise.”

Everything is rather vague when it comes to the DLC for Silksong, but it is being worked on, and there are ideas being thrown out. The best news is that fans won’t have to wait as long to get it, but that doesn’t mean it couldn’t be a year or two away.

Additionally, Gibson teased that Steel Assassin Sharpe could return. Gibson said, “One of those enemies, a little suite of Sharpe and their companions, they got tucked away for a while because the game had so much in it. And all of these pieces need polish, and polish takes time. We’re excited to reintroduce Sharpe. We just have to get to them.”
