Resident Evil Requiem has been receiving massive praise across the board, with many websites giving the game high review scores. Currently, the game is sitting at 88% on Metacritic as well. With reviews being as strong as they are, you may be tempted to purchase the game before its launch on February 27th. Well, if you are planning on buying the physical edition of Resident Evil Requiem, that might be a bit difficult, as reports say that the game is nearly sold out in stores and is only available on the digital marketplace.
Popular Retailers Sell Out of Resident Evil Requiem Physical Editions
We have to admit, we have been obsessed with Resident Evil Requiem since it was announced, covering multiple stories about the game, along with various leaks. Based on the overall hype for the game, it was easy to see that it would be popular, but it is hard to imagine that the game would sell out. Nevertheless, Resident Evil Requiem has hit a new milestone by selling out across multiple retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Walmart.
Editions of Resident Evil Requiem for the PlayStation and Xbox appear to be entirely sold out across each of these retailers, but there is still hope if you want to get your hands on a physical copy of the game. Copies of Resident Evil Requiem on the Nintendo Switch 2 appear to still be available at these retailers, with some only having the deluxe edition still available.
Of course, there are plenty who may be hesitant about purchasing the game on the Switch 2. After all, the system’s hardware is not nearly as powerful as the other consoles. Despite this, the Switch 2 version of the game has been praised in previews, and it currently has a higher Metacritic score than the PS5 edition. On the other hand, you can still purchase Resident Evil Requiem digitally across each of the storefronts.
