Scrooge McDuck’s store is finally getting an upgrade. That’s right! The stingy duck is finally shelling out his Star Coins to pay for a few upgrades for his shop. Now we can go spend even more money and support our valley’s local businesses. Players have been asking for upgrades to Scrooge McDuck’s store for a while now and Gameloft is finally delivering on the promise in update 9 coming later this year.
The three updates were teased earlier in the day via a poll on the official Disney Dreamlight Valley X page. While we were all busy voting on one of the three options, Gameloft was planning on surprising players with all three upgrades being added. So what are these updates to his store?
Announced on X, Scrooge McDuck’s store will see four new features added in update 9. First, it will get an improved stock rotation. Hopefully, this means we won’t be seeing all the same items time and time again. Next, it will be getting a new item; Doors! That’s right. In celebration of the release of the Monsters Inc. realm, we will be getting the ability to purchase new doors for our homes. Next up is an increased daily catalog limit. We will now be able to purchase more and spend even more coins! Finally, the shop will see an increase in size! There will be more pedestals to purchase from so we will have more options each day.
This is all very exciting news for the upcoming update. We can only imagine what will be next on the list of announcements coming in update 9. We already got a taste of some of these features in the Valentine’s Day cards posted by Gameloft with one of the cards featuring a new door in Scrooge’s store. Hopefully, we will get an update on when the release date will be for all of these features soon.
