Fallout has been hitting a big stride recently, thanks to the second season of the hit television show, which is receiving great reviews. The first season of the show drew many in and even got new people to try out the games. The second season is drawing in even more fans, and in turn, is generating even more buzz for the game series. Recently, rumors have been abuzz about potential Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas Remasters similar to the Oblivion Remaster that was released in 2025. On top of all the rumors and leaks, there is now a Steam Review issue that is leading more to believe these remasters are coming soon.
Steam Issue Hints at Fallout 3 and New Vegas Remasters
A new issue with the Steam pages for Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas has many believing the Remasters of both games are real and coming soon. The issue stems from some users attempting to leave reviews for the games, only to be met by an error that says, “You must wait until this product has been released before writing a review for it.”
One user named Open_Law_3334 on the Fallout Subreddit posted about this issue a few days ago, and it has many believing that this further hints at the remasters coming soon. The theory that these games would be getting remastered first surfaced after many noticed a timer for the Fallout television series. This timer ends on February 4, 2026 – the same day that the finale for Fallout Season 2 airs. Many believe this is the day that both of the remasters will be shadow-dropped, similar to how Bethesda shadow-dropped the Oblivion Remaster last year. Of course, there has been no official statement from Bethesda about this, but popular insiders, such as Nate the Hate, have stated that the Fallout 3 Remaster is real.
