Companies must be getting sick of waiting on Nintendo to announce the release date of the Nintendo Switch 2. After multiple leaks regarding the upcoming console, players are antsy to get an official look at it. It seems as though companies are eager to share what they have been cooking up as well because DBrand seems to have gone rogue, posting its Switch 2 case to its official website.
Recently, we have seen many Nintendo Switch 2 leaks such as one showing off the tempered glass and a case for the system. Another leak showcased that the Nintendo Switch 2 will have the same OS as its predecessor. It really seems as though we have learned everything we need to about the console without there being an official reveal.
DBrand posts Nintendo Switch 2 Killswitch case
Earlier today, popular case manufacturer DBrand, posted images of a case for the Switch 2 on its X page. In a separate post that went live yesterday before the Game Awards, DBrand posted an image of the back of the case with the caption, “We will not be answering any questions at this time.”

Going to the official DBrand website, the case can be seen spinning, showcasing the Switch 2 system inside with red and blue Joy-Con controllers. The case itself is quite sleek with a kickstand that matches what we have seen from leaked images of the console. The Roman numerals above it translate to 2025 so no official release date has been confirmed but you can sign up to be notified when it becomes available.
Nintendo still has yet to mention when the Switch 2 will be available but it did mention that the system will be officially announced by the end of its fiscal year. Because of this, we can expect to see the Nintendo Switch 2 get an announcement sometime before the end of March but no other word has been said. Hopefully, a reveal such as the DBrand case means that we are getting close to when Nintendo will finally announce the Switch 2.
